My first post as a Travelogue - Trip to Hallstatt - Top places to Visit before you become immovable

This is one of the best trips I have made in recent times, since being in Europe for more than six months now I have made so many trips with less pages to stamp on my passport due to my Schengen Visa. :) Why this trip has been so special? First it was my wife's birthday and the next is that I have been visiting loads of historical places, palaces, bridges and artificial sites other than beaches but never have I seen men being loved, cared, empowered by natures wealth. This was a surprise trip for both me and my wife, I didnt plan for long but was lured to this place by one of my managers 3 or 4 months ago. I was also informed that there will be a lot of Chinese people there and seems like there is a replica even in China, see video below.

I did some research on how to go there and the places to visit, where to stay. The basic things to do before a travel and always wanted that surprise element in my trips to find and try new things, experiences. Since I stay in Vienna now and been traveling in almost all the available transportation, I knew the best way to get there was the train. We took the WESTBAHN train from WIEN (Vienna) Westbahnhof (West Railway Station) and got down at Attnang-Pucheim and then took the REX RE (Regional Bahn) train to Hallstatt. I didnt know that after getting down I have to take a boat to the other side of the banks to reach Hallstatt, so there goes my first surprise element. One of the best hotels to stay there was the heritage hotel and the costliest one too, we skipped that and stayed at a Bed & Breakfast called Gasthof Bergfried which was charging per person per night and was running full. I will post the reviews of the stay later, which in itself would make this post even more boring.

My first impressions were not that great, as I was expecting way too much after looking at the online pictures of the lake. But I wasn't let down, the lake actually reacts according to the weather and reflects the surroundings. By the end of third day, I had seen a rainy day, foggy day, cloudy day and even nights with and without lights.

We walked along the bay with so much of enthusiasm searching for our stay with lots of starers looking onto us, which usually happens in a place where there are huge crowd of white skin, brown haired people and only two brown skinned, black haired people walking around with the sneakers on and I will never complain about my chinese brothers & sisters as they were busy with there cameras to click at each and every living and non living thing which was of so much of importance in Hallstatt (Pun intended there).

We walked past the oldest markt (market) in town and also a statue which was actually depicting the salt miner carrying a basket around digging salt.

One of the most exciting things we did next was to visit the Charnel House (Beinhaus), the house of skulls and bones. This was a place filled with lots of skulls which were unearthed as there was no place to bury more dead bodies, so it was simple they dug the skulls and bones out and then buried the new dead ones. The unearthed bones were stacked in a small room and has a small fee to go inside the room. Below here is an excerpt from one of the Hallstatt tour sites.

The Beinhaus (bone house) in Hallstatt dates back to twelve century AC. There are over 1200 skulls in the charnel, of them 610 have been painted in flowery designs, they are neatly stacked in rows along with next of kin and have the date of decease written on them. Since the cemetery is so small without the possibility to expand and due to the fact that cremations were in former days forbidden there was just not enough space. The graves were opened 10 - 15 years later and the skulls were removed along sometimes with other bones. The skull was cleaned and exposed to the sun and moon light for weeks until they were bleached ivory white. As one would decorate a grave with flowers the skulls were painted symbolically with a crown of flowers. This tradition began in 1720 AD. The last skull to go into the Beinhaus (Bone house) was in 1995. It is directly beside the cross. The woman died 1983; it was her last request to be stored in the Beinhaus (Bone house).

I will post some more places that we visited during our Hallstatt trip in the next coming posts.

Change is inevitable - The Cause & Effect

Every man needs to change so many times in his life, realized that change is the effect of all the moments (cause) in life. I am not the same self that I used to be, I have evolved so much after going through so many lessons every moment. I learned with every mistake I did or seeing / watching someone do a mistake, anything from standing in a queue to holding the spoon and fork at the table. There is no such thing as correct or incorrect way of doing something, like holding the spoon but the outcome is always better if we did it in a particular way. Holding a spoon would be the least thing that we need to learn when we are taking life as a context.

The toughest of all is to realize that even when you are changing to be a better person, the moment where we did the mistake and realized it will leave a scar and that, we will never get back the same moment with the same environment in life again. However you put it, that moment is gone. Sometimes we term it as second chance, but its not. Our second chances are new moments at a different time and surroundings and cannot be measured / compared to our first chance.

Now speaking about relationships, from one night stands to long term - its we who either make it complicated / corrupted / smooth. Its all up there in our brain, to adjust - adapt and provide several chances to change. HE made us imperfect, only because we need to learn and pave way to change and no one can expect to be perfect even after the change. And I am not terming a one hour / day divorce cases as a relationship :)

If I were given a chance to replay all the chess moves in my life, I would not be able to do it and the outcome may be disastrous. But if I were given a chance to make a different move only to specific moments in my life, yes that would make a big difference and the outcome would be so perfect. The sad thing is we all have only one chance, either we make it or break it and time still ticks on and waits for no man.

Take your best shot always. Try, Learn & Change and its repetitive. Goes like the chorus in any song and goes on for a lifetime.

A Reel for Real - In a Jiffy

How many movie scenes have we seen where the heroine or some lady character gets robbed by a gangster, rowdy, villain or just simply a sick character? The hero then gets hold of the entire crowd, bystanders, even sometimes in a deserted place and starts chasing the bad guy running, or on a car / bike chase, through the streets, building to building and what not.

Am astonished myself to say that I had this real time experience between two colleagues from a nearby place where I work and the chain snatcher. I was watching them closely and saw the entire thing happening before my eyes.

The victim was a pretty pregnant lady with a thin string of gold chain on her neck, with a bracelet on her wrist and the victim's guy friend was smart and young, who had no signs of any ornaments. They were walking on a crowded street, since being the afternoon hours, I would rather guess they were on their way to munch on a lunch in one of the Chinese food shops.

The incident: They both were walking and conversing with each other and were just about to cross the street which had no moving vehicles but one, what started to be nice afternoon sure ended up in a shock for the victim and the friend. The guy who was on the motorbike is the bad guy in this scene, he was fair with a helmet ON, which did not even cover his face and in his mid-20's, he slowed down his bike when these two people were mid way while crossing the road, the bad guy kept his eyes on these two people, especially on the lady and since both of them were crossing the road, they were looking at the vehicle and the guy who was driving it. The victim and the friend had halted since the vehicle was very close to them, if you are able to picturize this, the victims friend was standing to the right of the victim and the bike was coming towards the victims friend. The victims friend gave way to the bike, which was almost under halt. Everything just happened in a fraction of a second and there was such a huge rush of thoughts to react to what just happened. The lady was attacked by the chain snatcher and in a pure gush of panic, the victims friend shouted loud and starts chasing the bad guy flying away on his bike, the entire scene and the crowd is in a shock. No one moved, except for the victim, the friend and the bad guy who is exiting the entire chaotic scene.

The victims friend stops midway in a dilemma whether to chase the bad guy or to check whether the lady was safe and finds her safe on the other side of the street, what really surprised was how the snatcher positioned himself to do this kind of an act and while fleeing off the scene, he turned his face and kept watching the victim and the friend whether he was being followed / chased or not.

What was I doing there? was I just there watching the entire scene to narrate the entire story? Nope. I was the victims friend.

It was so hard for me to digest what had just happened, since being the first time I have ever come across such a situation. I was under such a shock, guess even more than my friend (victim), worried about what happened to my friend and sad that I couldn't stop the incident from happening. Many of my friends / colleagues advised me on robbery, theft, killing in Malaysia but this was the first time it happened to me and every time I heard something like that, I boasted saying this never happens in My India (My Chennai) and not in any crowded place, people are afraid to do such things in daylight and crowded corners of My India.

Finally came to a conclusion that chasing is really tough when compared to the reel life, many advised me not to chase such B%5748ds because they may be harmed with knives and I have realized that I will not make such an incident happen again and if I catch someone like that I would hit them so hard until there brain hurts and would make them realize I don't have a heart of Mother Teresa. And now I know how to react and behave with the common man, will tie my laces so stiff on my shoes and keep an eye on whatever is happening around me and react even more faster, sure you don't have to be a trained fighter. Just a pinch of courage and quick thought processing would do the trick. Please be safe while walking on the streets and I don't want no man to be afraid to walk.

From an anguished common man,
Kiran

P.S. Please re-read the description of the victims friend. he he :). My friend is safe and the chain is also safe but in two pieces.

Fundas From Fundoos

My recent trip to Singapore made me meet some good set of young and dynamic managers, they were with so much enthusiasm, thoughts and as usual vengeance with their superiors a.k.a managers. What impressed me to write about them now? It was so much fun listening to them and their daily chores at work. I always wanted to see a perfect manager, my definition of perfection is one who is aggressive & assertive and steals the minds of his fellow mates with his words and managerial talent. I would rate my first manager whom I have worked under or rather worked along as the closest to get to the above mentioned quality, such an inspiration, but am not going to talk about his talent in this post (sorry boss if you are reading this :p).

Coming back to my recent trip: I will quote on so many things that I have learned from them, it was all fundas put up in a very funny way because finally it would end up in smashing the stupid work culture / attitude of their managers, I kept laughing and glued onto their thoughts. One such thought still stuck or made to stick on my so called brain was the principle of life or work or management or whatever you call it, it still holds good.

1. Control Fear (nothing works without making that extra step)
2. Have Clarity (in what you speak / understand)
3. Using the power that you get by doing the above two things, and the final one is
4. Respecting time

I was like so new to listing down things, if I was given a chance to list down, would have come up with such a huge list all ending up on the four points :) and I accept am so screwed up especially on the fourth area, ask me to come early to any place and I would surely be there neither before nor on time. Every now and then these managers whom I have met get so frustrated with their managers and I think to myself if the person whom they were referring to was in front of them he would surely make the place wet :p. The topics get so deviated when we sit and speak about work, managers and the things that are happening around, at one point I would think and track back, sheesh where did we start? Suddenly we get into wealth management and there comes a sweet quote which goes like this 'Wealth is what you are and not what you have', guess what would I have done listening to such a quote, just rocked by head front and back obviously in a gesture of acceptance and smiling away on a thought worth so much.

To round it up, I have learned so many things about managers and what would one expect to learn when you work under 7 to 8 managers in just 2.5 years of your work life, looks like crash course on management. 'When you get your chances of being a manager, do all the bad things that your manager taught you in a better way'

I know that last statement was so confusing, may be thats because am starting to walk on that dithered path myself :).

My body kept walking but my soul stayed

Its been two long years to update my blog. So many things to remember and so much to let out. I have been traveling, getting to know people outside India and how things work outside my own small world. I really cannot rate my life, have traveled to 4 countries in 2 years and the longest being Malaysia. Many of them who know me think I have enjoyed doing this, as I said I cannot really rate it. I have lost the best things in life but at the same time known so much in life at a very young age. As everyone knows 'Ignorance is Bliss', there is a slight worry in myself that I would lose the gift of ignorance. I have realized that nothing stays in life and nothing is meant to be yours, I am responsible for what I am and what I do and things that happen to me and around me. Love the world and there is no guarantee that you will be loved back and even if it does, does not stay for long.

Coming back to the present, been doing good at work. Even though I do not care much about work and work related issues, at work things are just fitting into place without much effort. There is no such term as Personal life for a loner like me, its the way you have to be. Eat alone, sleep alone, go to movies alone, work alone and keep searching for a company all alone.

Until a few months back, I changed my tagline from being a loner to a social animal, not just 'cause of the social networking sites that are around but to a bunch of lovely people who have taken me out of my depression and loneliness. What else I need? They make fun of each other - makes me laugh out, they watch movies and have fun together - makes me happy, they eat together - makes my body feel sumptuous, they love each other - which makes me show my love too. The only reason that I am still staying here in Malaysia, its them. I have realized that the only hardship of any relationship is missing your loved ones.

I will post more on the travel destinations that I have made, its been hectic, dramatic and lots of things for my brain to process.

Love,
A Backpacker for life.

Daddy Adopts More - But They Are Adults Already

STRANGE: One of them being older than the foster father and the other being few years younger than him. Hope I have succeeded in confusing you with the prelude. I am talking about the acquisition of th JAG & Rover by THE TATA. I spent a little time this morning getting some insights about Tata, Ratan. Not on when he was born or where he did his studies... blah blah blah but the acquisitions he has made

Feb 2000 - Tata Tea Ltd acquires UK's Tetley
Price - $432 million
Feb 2004 -
Becomes the world's No. 2 packaged tea company .

Aug 2004 -Tata Motors signs a deal to buy the commercial vehicle unit of South Korea's Daewoo Group.
Price -
$102 million

June 2005 - Tata Steel Ltd buys Singapore's lone steel miller, NatSteel Ltd.
Price -
$286 million

July 2005 - Tata Coffee buys US-based Eight O'Clock Coffee Co from Gryphon Investors.
Price -
$220 million

Aug 2006 - Telecom firm Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd, a TaTa Group buys US-based Teleglobe International Holdings Ltd
Price - $239 million

Aug 2006 - Purchase of Tyco International's global undersea fibre optic cable network unit.
Price - $130 million

Tata Tea buys 30 per cent of US enhanced water firm Energy Brands Inc for $677 million. It sells the stake less than a year later to Coca-Cola for $1.2 billion in Jan 2007.

March 2007 - Tata Steel acquires Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus Group for $13 billion, India's biggest overseas takeover yet.

Tata Power buys stakes in Indonesian PT Bumi Resources Tbk's two coal mines for $1.3 billion in Jan 2008.

Tata Chemicals buys US soda-ash producer General Chemical Industrial Products Inc for $1.01 billion in 2008.

Whoa where are we going? 10 acquisitions, that too huge acquisitions in 8 years. Looks cool, and what looks cooler now is the current take over of the Jag and the Rover. What would I expect, nothing more than driving the latest or at least the modified versions of the JAGs on Indian roads or at least for a test drive ;) Fingers crossed.

First Flight Experience!!!!

It may be dumb for many, in this post, I wanted to share my first flight . Everyone has a first flight experience. Since my close friend is a pilot and knowing most of his friends too, I did know many things on what were the operations that actually happen on the inside.

It was a short duration flight from Bangalore to chennai, it was a really smooth process. I had booked my ticket later that evening online and went direct to the airport, it was a 11Km drive from where I stayed in bangalore. I checked in and since I did not have any luggage and being a domestic flight, only my cellphone was scanned. But it was a really poor checking they had on me. The flight was at 10:45 and I wanted to experience every bit of it that happens to every frequent commuter and it happened so. The flight got delayed and since it being the last flight for that day, the company had its own reasons. I waited for more than an hour from the actual departure, anyways it did not do much of a difference for me, but the regular commuters had a problem with it. They started crowding at the counter, what was it for? ha ha ha obviously for a fight. Finally the awaited announcement came in and I got onto the company's bus to get to the aircraft.

I climbed up the stairs of the plane and what caught my eye were the in-flight attenders, who showed their hospitality by greeting each one of us who got on, with the same fake smile that I have heard off, thats their job. I got to my seat and I had asked for a window seat cos I wanted to see the outside view from the plane. There was a request asking us to put our seat belts on, and guess what happened, I was looking for a clip to strap the belt on, but couldn't find it. I did feel embarrassed and thought of tying the two straps into a knot. Somehow, I found the way through it.

It was a very short distant flight as I told you, so it was an (inclined)upward climb for 15 mins and a cruise for about 10 mins and again a landing approach(declined) for 10 mins. Since it was a night flight, the city was lighted up with street lights, vehicles moving around, it was such an awesome sight. But they soon disappeared as we reached a certain height and covered by clouds. While the flight was hitting the skies inclined to a certain degree, the attenders started doing their routine of providing the food and water, I was provided with a cake, sandwich and a drink. I am a real slow eater, soon realized I was caught up in a mess, cos the guy who sat next to me had finished the whole of it before I could start off. Soon realized that what he was doing was the normal thing in flight cos the attenders were already collecting the plates. The attenders job wasn't a piece of cake, they had do it so fast and had to move from the front to the rear of the plane and vice versa, and obviously put a fake smile every other second. It was real tough to even see them do it.

My flight finally came to an hault after a smooth landing, and I was happy and looked accomplished as if I piloted the flight myself. It was altogether a very nice experience and it sure looks great to watch down high from the skies ;)

Am Disturbed - Am Disturbia

ok am talking about the movie - DISTURBIA

I aint a professional blogger to just post only one blogposts a month, and that is what am doing. lemme grab some more time on these blogs. hmmm ok here goes the movie DISTURBIA.

I have been searching for a good print to download and finally i got the axxo print. HurraY.

Here goes a movie which starts off like the butterfly effects movies, where you have so much fantasy, fate and all the abstracts. This is what i thought the movie is all going to be. But it wasnt, that was a PLUS which made me go through the movie without blinking.
There were no well known casts in the movie, but the movie was on box office for days.

I divide the movie into three parts, first as i said the director did make me think wrong of whats gonna happen in the movie

The second was the What was Kale going to do with his spy gadgets, eventhough they were just the bionoculars, cameras and the computer where he spies on his neighbours and the third is the thrilling sequence of events, where the scenes really mislead me to so many doubts on the psychopath.

Movie in short:
In the first few scenes the father and the son KALE get into an accident and the father dies, next is where the son, who takes the lead in the movie after a year punches his teacher in school and gets into home arrest for three months. Now comes the best part hes taken off his Video games and the iTunes, gets so much bored he starts spying around his neighbors.

There is this family who move in as the next door neighbors. As usual they have a pretty girl and he spies on this girl too. And as guys are he becomes addicted to this spygame and calls onto his friend and they do it together. This is the second part of the movie which was not at all giving any clues on the climax. The girl once notices these guys spying on her and comes directly to their home and gets attracted to the spygame too.

The final part of the movie is that Kale gets clicked to a news event on the TV where they mention the knowabouts of the psychickiller and does make a connection to one of his neighbors. The director has played a big part in here by making me have doubts whether hes the killer or not. So these three keep on spying on whatever is happening at the psychos place and how they make the events successful in getting hold of the psycho is what follows in the rest of the movie.

Since Kale is on house arrest hes tied up with a small gadget around one of his legs and he can move around to only a certain boundary if he crosses the line then the police would come and take action. He does cross the line two times and the police come within 10 seconds, but in the climax he crosses the line the third time and this time the police comes late, real late. Anyways that was needed for the scene.

Further goofups were when he takes up a light bulb and looks through a vent hole, it shows up as a torch, he he that was funny. After a struggling fight between the psycho and kale and even kale's mom, they come out walking putting up heroic presence without any wounds or any sign of tiredness.

I finish it off here and yeah i do recommend this thriller. Its too good without any big names both back stage and the forerunners except for Kales mom whom we all know as trinity of the matrix fame and shes has no big role in here.

Rating: 7.3 out of 10

Hey check out for Kale, his real name Shia La Beouf in the upcoming movie by Steven Spielberg Transformers,

TATA,
JK

The WAR has finally ended - Thanks To The GODs

The war has finally ended for this year. Only one warrior from each side, the best and the agile survives.

The Details Of The War

Weapons - Same on both sides (Their brave mothers knitted them with their own hands and call them as a Raquet) and with the ignited ball

What they are fighting for - The proudest piece from the Land of Wimbledon

The on-lookers were the whole world

History Of The War - Dates back to 1877 from then every year the same battlefield.....

The warriors were also the same as last year with more vengeance, more agility, speed and with fire in their eyes to blast off the worlds expectations. They were Federer, Roger the Swiss and Nadal, Rafael the Spaniard.

The Whole Game:

Whoah I felt the heat myself with the raging backhands, finishing forehands and astonishing Aces. My support was totally to The KING ROG!!! But who else can face the King better, its Rafael the KIDDO for sure. Ok enough of me supporting and demoralising the Gods of Tennis. Coming to the game, for the people who missed the game, you really missed something Big in this world man, just get a copy of it and watch it. If u dont get ask me i'll give you. Before you download that lemme give my feel of the game.

First set, obviously would make 7-6 but who makes that 7, its none other than my boy Rog. Then comes the terror in the next set, I did not expect Rog to lose 4-6 in the second, anyways he tried hard and as always i knew a five set match for Fed and Nad is always a 5 set match and that too in the finals. The Tiger pounced back with a furious 7-6 win in the third set, thought this pace would go on and both of them would make the maximum number of points in every set but I got down again seeing Rog lose for a cheap 2-6, what were you thinking, the whole world was on you bud. Anyways 4th set had so much to see, the referee carlos was under pressure from his nervous decisions for he had switched off an equippment. It was against Feds choice, so obviously got frustrated and said "Its Killin Me Today, How In The World Was That Ball In? SHIT", whew he was on the referee, thought they would fine him as they do in Cricket. Ha ha Ha. It was toil toil toil and nothing else for the warriors, they suffered the heat and both were better than the previous games. Cos they have been head on head so many times, I can say they toured together more than they would have with their spouses and family. I did mean a singular spouse there. Then came a medical time out from the spaniard, was it needed, may be it was needed to distract Fed, cos only after the sprain Nad played even more better and won the set.

The decider had an advantageous open for Fed, cos he had to serve. Nad started to lose points with errors and at one stage of time Fed got three points on straight ACES, whoah Nad couldnt even move to send back the ball. He was caught on grass, and all he could do was watch the ball move past him. Always rated Fed has the King of Grass and Nad as the King of Clay, but both of them have proved their negatives and have shown greater agilities both in clay as well as grass these days.

The final segment, were Roggy wins with so much happiness in his face, he starts to cry with no tears to fall, its just because "He has sweated all through the game for he had no tears to spare". Yeah for sure Nad was a superb sport. In his final speech he appreciated Fed and after a long pause he said "I lost here but I will come back", he was really arrogant.

Feddy was awesome with his white suit for the ceremony of the grand finale, he looked great. He was cool, composed and with a biggy smile. He said the sets were playing each others luck and it seems he said to Nad he deserved the game too. Now what, hes equalled the all time great Borgs record of holding 5 straight wins in the Wimbledon. Its gonna be more the years to come,

The image “http://images.sportsnetwork.com/tennis/getty/men/federer/2007/wimbledon9_180.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Love you Feddy, you rock with your style and smile :)

Sivaji Vs MGR - How Many Days in BO

hey gud day to you, hmmm finally had the satisfaction of watching thalaivars (HEAD) movie on the first day. Too much hype, too much expectations from my side and the fans, the movie sure meets them all. This movie includes in it the tangy taste of Shankar, Rajni & Rahman, n surely shankars technological aspect takes the lead.

Ok here goes ma review for the movie, no movie is comparable to this one. Whoah the music got released with so much controversies where three songs got released over the net before it was actually released with a celebration, who knows its just because they wanted the media to create an hype and obviously increase the fans n even laymans expectations and sure it did. So many dates for the movie release, hmmm sure Shivaji did use the tactic well during its pre-release.

Ok the movie, was simply superb, me gonna rate it on different aspects,

Rajni

Style, Action, Comedy - 10 outta 10 (He did his job thats what was wanted from him)

Dance - 8 outta 10 (he did far more better than his prev movies and with the technology along side made it feel even more better)

Fighting - 7 (Nah hes flying all over ppl, i have seen that already in matrix, it suites for that movie and not yours Super Star, its always a single man army, ratio 1:100, wish i had so much power)

Shankar

Direction - 8.5

Story - 6.5

Post Production - 9.5

Songs - 10 (No one can do better than him, remember the mudhalvan, boys stuff, he does the same but with different themes)

Screen Play - 6 (Man the second half ruined the whole show, very shitty, not the typical shankar stuff)

Costumes & Expenditure on Sets - 10 (He gave the actors the best they can get)

Rahman

Music - 8.5 (Too much of technology spoils the naturality, meant the digitalisation of his music)

Lyrics - 10 (Obviously he hasnt scored the lyrics, the music goes so good with those lyrics, with the rap/hiphop, melody and so many such mixtures)

Typical A R Rahman Hits, goes very good with the latest technology and trend.

"Too many hands spoil the broth" or "Too much of anything is good for nothing"

I meant the trio in here, leave Rahman, he has done his part. The other two, nah they not the right pair for movies, cos there is a different line of expectation for shankar and rajni individually. Shankar ruined his reputation in this movie, sure movies donot have a reality thing in them, atleast showing something artificial in reality pulls the movie goers. In this movie the whole thing is ruined, shivaji is dead and is alive again after being dead for more than 5 mins, and what they do is just an electric shock (defriblation) to save him, and this is the turning point in the climax. Man it was horrible to see that scene.

There were unncessary scenes in the second half, the Car Fight, very shitty, when would Indian movies stop making such scenes, Shivaji has a Prado and that is all. Wheareas more than 50 cars come n bash him up and nothing happens to shreya n rajni. He bowls them all in the end like the bowling pins. really sick.

The positives, shivajis luxurious life and his heart to help build a better India, pleases every INDIAN. Shreyas costumes and dance grooves sure steals the heart. Rajni and vivek duo are the base for the whole movie, they bully each other, they joke about themselves and man rajni becomes white, blond and as usual young and and and and hes Mottai BOSS( Samuel Jackson) in the end, Now hes MGR not shivaji. So many faces , so many different styles takes on the whole show and surely keeps the movie in the BO for months together, which can be ruined by Kamals dasavadhaaram.

First half full n full comedy sure makes us glued onto the seats, second half is all about shivajis fight back with a lil tinge of comedy makes the people think "wish the interval was a little more than the usual". Watch it people sure rajni makes us move with his style, rahman with is awesom score, shankar with his talent on picturisation and even the smaller details, vivek with his comedy.

whoah i missed out the villain, this guy is new, huge and only with his smile and dialogues makes us believe hes a villain, sure is a talented villain. Delivery of his dialogues are good. Yeah theres also a guest appearance, guess whos that.... its nayanthaara , shes hot and steals the first song with her grooves. The first song is full of surprises where shankar enters into the scene wit a cellphone and all he had to do was throw his cell. ha ha ha

The laughing and cheering crowd in the first half seemed very silent in the later part of the second half. Think they realised its the OLD ways of Indian movies where the HERO lives and obviously saves the world.

enjoy..... ;)

Total Rating : 7.5 outta 10

sorry rajni n shankar fans :(

You are NEXT - Another Deja Vu but good

Hey me becoming a movie buff already, don't know whats happening with me. I saw a new movie without stepping into the theatres, I hung onto this movie called NEXT by Lee Tamahori.

In the movie Deja Vu (already there), Denzel gets into three roles one in future, present and one in past. What on earth was the director Tony Scott thinking. Theres a big technoscientogadgetohugo machine that makes you transit between future and the present. Whoah we are in '07 people, these stories are all done with the 90's.

Nicolas Cages last movie the bike rider lol "Ghostrider" punished everyone of us, who watched the flick with so much expectation in the theaters. It was utter rubbish. But in this movie 'NEXT', Nicolas Cage has powers to rehearse his own life. He does it so good along with Julianne and Jessica Biel.

Nicolas is so good in the movie with his tactical moves and action scenes, the best part is where he dodges the sniper bullet, great scene. Nowadays hollywood movies are bringing a little of sentiromanto feel into the scene. Totally theres not much of a story line in the movie but the screenplay is good enough to keep you awake and guessing what would happen the next 2 minutes.

Have fun watching this movie You Are NEXT.

P.S: Had a doubt, can he only foresee for just 2 minutes into the future or is it like for long hours. Just cant figure out from the movie

Oceans 14 is Awesum!!!! Read That Again

he he he oceans 14 whens it getting released???? .... man oceans 13 wasnt a big expectation from my side but well yes i did want to watch tht movie soon as it got released and i did so with not much of expection since the xpectations were ruined by oceans 12 which wasnt in the same line as 11 did.

the crew i love them for their cool way of doing stuffs each one in their own way...frm reuben to rusty, man they rock with their witty dialogues expressions, cos they r the stars of hollywood(pitt clooney damon....garcia). hmmm yeah one of the better appearances goes to al pacino who rocks the whole scene thru' his hypocritic ideas n cool new gadgeto systems to secure his casino, sure had a great part on him.

its huge, its the same old thing they do, but with a different style of looting the casino, the five diamonds its what the director steven soderberg and the crew get for this pure piece of fun and con idea. they rock....

get them watching, they r great....hope 14 is getting released in 2010.... waitin for tht.. it wil b a long wait

Last King Of Chennai - Its Moi

Am not gonna be like IDI Amin. many say hes a cannibal and i do believe on that. Ok lemme get clear on this, u think am blabbering. ok me speaking about the Idi Amin an army officer turned president of Uganda in 1971, he was well known for his ruthless use of power n persecutions more than 500,000 in his regime. How did i know so much about him, i saw this 2006 flick "The Last King Of scotland", bows to the director Kevin Macdonald.

He has characterised the story in such a way he brings a young doctor Nicholas Garrigan layed by James McAvoy to uganda to practise, this guy is a perfect playboy, wherever he goes, he keeps his hand on. Even keeps his hand on the prez's wife(one of his wives), so children keep away from this movie.

Idi Amin played by Forrest Whitaker, man i dunno who does the casting and stuffs at the background, whoah no one could have done so good in place of Idi Amin, he spoke, acted and did everythin as amin would hav done. and thats why he gets an oscar for his complete work of art in '07.

This is a movie that every1 needs to watch. Its great and filled with terror and obviously with the playboy its fun. Enough of me telling stories now, go watch it now and comment on it... hav fun

MAY wasnt MAYHEM it was FUN

Hey back to blogging.... I feel so sad that am not able to update my blog frequently these days... Eventhough I spend most of my time online, i don't get to blog. Okies lotsa stuffs happening with me and around me. My college got over finally and am a freakabackamackachackaliciously doing nothing but roaming around. Last month May was real hectic, I was fully occupied with my tours. he he he was at home jus for a week.

When the month started I went to Kodai with the best of my friends, my school mates. We rocked totally. Having fun almost every second, fun with Big J, Han , khad, Captain, komodo and ASH my bestest of people to hang out with. We were in Kodai and all we did was eat and roam around. It was very crowded around this time of the year. We went to all secret places and so we missed the crowd. Never knew Kodai had places like Vattakaanal, Berijam Forest, we enjoyed even a night watch at the observatory. Four days and three nights were so good. There were so many eeeny tweeny moments which will make us cherish all through our life and esp the things happened around Big J. lol hes the only one who can make it happen.

Hmm ok after coming back had my exams, the final semester was real tough with two subjects(that was sarcastic) but anyways I screwed up and got real low marks. After my exams I was sent to Bengalooru in search of a better job, but the best part was I couldnt stop myself from getting around places in Bengaloooru. Its such a beau place and along with came my sisters and vas. We went to all the places in Bangalore, window shopping and dragging my sisters who halt at every petty shop.

It was a week I stayed over in Bangalore at my sisters place before I got a call from my college mates, who invited me for a trip to south of Tamilnadu and a bit of Kerala. I have done so many trips down south during my cycle rallies but this one was the best. So many places, went to theni to my friend Ramkumars place, these were the 4 longest days cos I missed my cell phone back in Chennai and lost all my contacts ;( , again had a trip to kodai, yeah I know its way too much for a person to visit the same hill station twice in a row, couldn't help it. We went to rams estate in Kerala the second day, the climate was extraordinarilycharminglychimingly beautiful. We were a team of 15 and its huge for a trip so it was really a thrillride with my guys. From there the next day we went on a trip to Munnar, visited all the tea estates, waterfalls and so on. The last day we had a tour to Madurai to the theme park which wasnt even in competition to our Chennais theme parks. Anyways it was for Madurai, we had to get in. It was a water theme park which had no deep diving areas, but we did enjoy the water rides and especially the ship aka Columbus ride which made us real dizzy.

The day went off with a visit to the Madurai Meenakshi temple, the whole tour was organised by Ram and his father who inspite of his busy schedule was with us the whole 4 days. The time came to bid farewell to his family and leave to chennai. I reached home and had to take over the online pending jobs I had to do, the usual checking of mails and the timepitchingstupidolicious site which drags most of my time, ORKUT.

I really missed my family in all my tours, my friends over in Chennai whom i had promised for a getogether with them. But had to loose something to gain something. ANYWAYS MAY was fun fun and fun...... kudos to all who made it happen....

love you all

A clever person solves a problem.
A wise person avoids it.
-- Einstein

André Bensoussan once explained the difference between a programmer and a designer:
"If you make a general statement, a programmer says, 'Yes, but...'
while a designer says, 'Yes, and...'"

No matter what the problem is,
it's always a people problem.
---Jerry Weinberg

Wexelblat's Scheduling Algorithm:
Choose two:
* Good
* Fast
* Cheap

Craziness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
---Tom DeMarco, rephrasing Einstein, who said
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

To go faster, slow down. Everybody who knows about orbital mechanics understands that.
